Call of Duty: MW3 - Mission: Vertigo (Special Ops DLC) - Overview
“Vertigo” is a
downloadable content (DLC mission) of Special Ops Mission Mode in Call of Duty:
Modern Warfare 3. The objective of the mission is to destroy enemy transport
choppers at the Oasis Hotel. The mission takes place in Dubai and partially
covers the map of mission “Dust to Dust”.
This DLC mission was
first made available only to “Call of Duty's Elite” premium members for Xbox360
on 17th July 2012 and On 16th August 2012 Arctic Recon was available to premium
members for PS3.
You have to play the
mission as Bravo 3, and Baseplate will assist you in radio. In the beginning,
you are equipped with a StarStreak missile launcher and an Assault Rifle. You
will find a P90 submachine gun, two RPG-7 Launchers, a SCAR-L assault rifle, a
PKP Pecheneg light machine gun, and a M16A4 assault rifle lying on the rooftop.
And you also find some weapons at the hotel entrance. You will find an ammo
crate at the entrance too.

Single-Player Walkthrough:
In the beginning, Bravo
3 takes position on the rooftop of the Oasis Hotel. Baseplate informs him that
multiple VIP transport birds are approaching the hotel and orders him the take
them down. Once he destroys all four helicopters, Baseplate informs that
enemies are approaching the rooftop and orders him to hold the rooftop.
Baseplate also informs that he is sending a care package to his location.
The first wave of the
enemy approaches. As you eliminate all the enemies, baseplate informs the
arrival of a Mi17 chopper and orders him to take it down. Bravo 3 them bring it
down with his StarStreak. The second wave starts just after the destruction of
Mi17, and Brave 3 clears them one more time.
Baseplate then informs
about another enemy bird arriving with a Juggernaut in it. Bravo 3 again uses
the StarStreak to destroy the chopper in the air. Another group of ground units
arrives at the rooftop. And Bravo 3 kills them all. Baseplate informs about
another enemy transport approaching at his area of operations and orders him to
destroy the chopper.
Baseplate informs you
about the care package as soon as Brave destroys the chopper. He spots the
package drops on the rooftop. Then he collects a parachute from that package
and jumps off the rooftop using it.
Once he reaches the
entrance, Baseplate orders him to reach the green smoke for exfil. More enemy
hinds arrive with reinforcement and drop them on the bridge. Bravo destroys
most of the birds in the air and kills the rest enemies on the bridge.
Bravo 3 then advances
toward the exfil point and kills two dogs, some ground units, two attack
choppers, and some suicide bombers to reach there. Once he reaches the exfil
point the mission ends.
You can play this
mission in 3 difficulties. Playing the mission in Regular difficulty will give
you a star, in Hardened you will get 2 stars and if you play in Veteran
difficulty you will get 3 stars.
