Call of Duty: MW3 - Mission: Light 'Em Up (Special Ops DLC) - Overview

“Light 'Em Up” is a downloadable content (DLC mission) of Special Ops Mission Mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This DLC mission was made available only to “Call of Duty's Elite” premium members for Xbox360 on 7th August 2012. The objective of the mission is to Locate and extract a soldier being held hostage in Makarov's castle. The mission takes place in Prague, Czech Republic. And it partially covers the map of mission “Stronghold”.

You have to play the mission as Dekko 3, and Baseplate will assist you in radio. In the beginning, the chopper will move into the castle boarding you in. You have to control the movements of the chopper, while you kill the enemies on the ground.

Call of Duty: MW3 - Special Ops: Light 'Em Up

Single-Player Walkthrough:

At the beginning of the mission, Baseplate informs Dekko 3 that the soldier is being held somewhere in that castle, and he can collect the intel on the location from the guards in the courtyard. The chopper then flies in and you start to engage your enemies. Baseplate hacks the system and temporarily shuts off the power. The yard goes bark, Dekko 3 uses his night vision goggles to identify the enemies’ location. Two enemy vehicles appear with reinforcement.

**Hostiles drop the intel once you kill them.

Dekko 3 continues his fight from the air until all four intel are spotted. The pilot then drops him off the ground to collect all the intel. As it is not possible to stay on the ground, the pilot takes the chopper in the air again and keeps assisting by flashing the spotlight on hostiles. Just the time you collect the first intel, Baseplate informs you about the chemical agents approaching him. Once Dekko 3 collects all four intel, Baseplate interprets the location based on the intels. The chopper then lands to pick him up.

The chopper drops him at the northeast of the upper compound near the storage building. Fighting his way when Dekko reaches the courtyard, the pilot informs him about another chemical agent moving toward him. Dekko 3 kills that agent and starts moving forward again. Eliminating all the hostiles of that area, he reaches a door.

He then breaches the gate and kills all the hostiles in a slow-motion mode. More hostiles arrive and confront him. Killing them all he reaches the hostage. The Pilot reports to Baseplate immediately after Dekko 3 frees Sergeant Boyle. Baseplate then orders them to escort him alive. Sergeant Boyle fights beside Dekko 3 to make their way out. The pilot informs them to stay sharp as the hostiles are using smoke and he also informs them about more chemical agents incoming.

Killing all the enemies they reach outside of the building. They kill some enemies in the yard. Once the area is clear the Pilot lands his chopper the escort them. At first, Dekko 3 gets down in the yard and takes a safe position, then Sergeant Boyle moves to the chopper. Several enemy soldiers arrive from the building, Dekko 3 takes them out. He boards the bird after Boyle. Reaching a safer distance, the pilot orders Dekko 3 to toss the smoke. The AC-130 then starts hammering the castle. The mission ends here.

You can play this mission in 3 difficulties. Playing the mission in Regular difficulty will give you a star, in Hardened you will get 2 stars and if you play in Veteran difficulty you will get 3 stars.
