Call of Duty: MW3 - Mission: Dust to Dust - Overview
"Dust to
Dust" is the eighteenth and final mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
3. The main objective is to eliminate Vladimir Makarov. You have to play as
Captain John Price a Task Force agent. The mission takes place in the Arabian
Peninsula.
The cutscenes start
with TV news about the peace negotiation, overlapping with the voice of Captain
Price. He then contacts Makarov and challenges him. During the talk as Makarov
mentions the war is over, Price says that his war will be over with the death
of Makarov.

At the beginning of the
mission, we will find Price and Yuri inside a van wearing Juggernaut Suits and
the van is taking fire. Nikolai taps into the security feed of the hotel and
informs that Makarov is in the atrium on the top floor. Price and Yuri get down
from the van and advance for the Hotel Oasis. They kill a small army of Oasis
Security Guards. They destroy a car that approaches them. Once they reach the
entrance of the hotel two more cars arrive. The enemies start striking from the
ground and the second floor. Clearing the entrance once they move near the
doorway they hold their fire so the civilians can escape. Inside the hotel,
they kill several enemies near and on the top end of the escalator. The two
then reach the second floor, and Nikolai sends an elevator for them once he
gains control over it.
Once they are inside
the elevator it starts moving up. Nikolai shares some updates on Makarov and
informs about the enemy choppers inbound. From the two one heads for the roof
and the other starts firing at them. Price and Yuri destroy that bird, but it
crashes into the elevator the two are in. The impact damages their Juggernaut
Suits and the elevator shuts off. After taking off their suits, Yuri asks for
another lift. Nikolai sent another one to their position. Just before the
damaged elevator collapses down they jump to another lift.
Price and Yuri then
ride to the twenty-seventh floor. Nikolai then informs them that Makarov is
heading for the chopper. And they need to hurry to catch up with him. A timer
starts to countdown from 4 minutes. The two then push forward fighting their
way they reach the restaurant, and they see Makarov escaping through the door.
Once Price runs after him the chopper appears and fires at them sending Price
on the ground. The chopper then fires at the pillars, partially collapsing the
top floor. Price slips down and almost falls off, but manages to grab a
rod-bar. Price then pulls himself up and sees a piece of rebar has been stabbed
through Yuri’s abdomen, trapping him to the floor. Yuri there tells Price to go
after Makarov. Price head for the chopper through the ruins and reach the
helipad. Just as the chopper takes off, Price jumps onto the helicopter, grabs
the pilot’s leg as he tries to kick him, and throws him out of the helicopter.
The co-pilot draws his gun and puts up a fight, accidentally shooting into the
controls. Price then takes out a knife, stabs the co-pilot, and throws him out
as well. Price then takes control of the chopper, and tries to avoid the crash
landing but cannot manage it.
Once Price regains
consciousness, he finds himself on a glass ceiling of the roof. He also notices
Makarov appearing from behind the helicopter. Price then begins crawling for the
Desert Eagle near him, noticing it Makarov also moves for it. Price manages to
grab it, but Makarov stamps on Price's hand and takes the pistol away. But
before he can kill Price, Yuri arrives and shoots Makarov with his pistol
wounding him further. Yet, Makarov manage to kill Yuri. Price then attacks
Makarov with all his might. He knocks Makarov down and blows with his fists.
After that Price wraps a steel cord around Makarov's neck and keeps thrusting
him on the glass ceiling. The ceiling breaks down, causing both of them to
fall. Makarov makes a final scream, and as the steel cable hangs him, he dies
due to suffocation. Price on the other hand survives the fall, as he lands on
the floor below the roof. Price then lights a cigar, and watches Makarov's hanging
body. Sirens of cop cars are coming from the background and Price blows out a
cloud of smoke, the mission ends with the credits rolling from the bottom.

Intel Locations of Dust to Dust:
There are three Intel
in the mission “Dust to Dust”.
01. Once you reach the
second floor with the escalator turn around and head for the bar. You will find
the Intel on top of the bar counter.
02. You will find the
second in a room on your left on the 27th floor. After exiting the elevator when
you push for the restaurant, you will see a sign “VIP Game Room”. Move toward
the poker table, there you will find it.
03. The third one is
placed on the bar counter in the restaurant area. Once you spot Makarov in the
restaurant area look for your right side, you will find the bar. Go there and
look for the final piece of Intel.
