Call of Duty: MW3 - Mission: Kill Switch (Special Ops DLC) - Overview

“Kill Switch” is a downloadable content (DLC mission) of Special Ops Mission Mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The objective of the mission is to infiltrate a Russian communications station and detonate an EMP. The mission takes place in a docking port in Russia. This is a role-playing mission. In the first half of the mission, you have to play as Scarecrow and the rest as Ozone.

Call of Duty: MW3 - Special Ops: Kill Switch

This DLC mission was first made available only to “Call of Duty's Elite” premium members for Xbox360 on 13th March 2012 and on 20th March 2012 to non-premium members. On 12th April 2012 Black Ice was available to premium members for PS3 and for non-premium members, it was released on 19th April 2012. For PC mission Black Ice is made available from 8th May, 2012.

Single Player Walkthrough:

At the beginning of the mission, Baseplate ordered Scarecrow to plant EMP in the communications station And Ozone to provide cover fire for Scarecrow from an under-construction bridge. Scarecrow kills down two Russians in the alley and moves forward, Ozone takes down a sniper placed on a building. Scarecrow takes a left and reaches near the garage killing two hostile on his way. He takes cover behind some crates as the enemies confront him. He engages in a fight while Ozone provides backup from his place. After the area is clear Scarecrow reaches the second floor of an abandoned house. As he reaches up the stairs a hostile appears from the other door. He kills him and notices an enemy chopper coming.

**Destroying the chopper before it can droop the troops will thin the resistance.

Scarecrow destroys the chopper, and moves inside the room, and from the staircase area, he eliminates all the hostiles in the yard. Then he exited the building and reached the corner of the street. As Scarecrow turns left, Baseplate orders Ozone to change position to provide cover fire for Scarecrow and the camera takes us to Ozone’s viewpoint.

Ozone reaches the other side and takes down an enemy chopper, At that time Baseplate orders Scarecrow to get inside the command station. Scarecrow takes cover as the large enemy force is confronting him. Ozone is taking care of the enemies from the bridge. Ozone destroys another enemy chopper upon its arrival. Then an enemy truck arrives with reinforcement and a Juggernaut joins them to strengthen their power.

**Ozone must kill it before it reaches Scarecrow but also has to keep an eye on the other enemies.

Once Ozone eliminates the Juggernaut, enemies start falling back. Once he clears the area, Scarecrow moves inside the building. Once Scarecrow is inside, Baseplate orders Ozone to use the Reaper to stop the enemy reinforcement from entering that building. Many enemy vehicles and helicopters arrive with reinforcement and Ozone keeps hammering on them.

Just the time Scarecrow activates the EMP, enemies destroy the Reaper, and a Hind launches some missile toward Ozone. It destroys the suspension and brings Ozone down to the ground. Just the time he hits the ground Scarecrow detonates the EMP and it creates a blackout.

Scarecrow moves out of the building and asks Ozone to run toward the docks. Fighting their way they reach a zodiac, which is placed before for their escape. The mission ends when reaches the boat.

You can play this mission in 3 difficulties. Playing the mission in Regular difficulty will give you a star, in Hardened you will get 2 stars and if you play in Veteran difficulty you will get 3 stars.
