Call of Duty: MW3 - Mission: Hostage Taker (Special Ops) - Overview

“Hostage Taker” is the eighth mission of Special Ops Mission Mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The primary objective of the mission is to find and save the President's daughter and saving three hostages from Makarov’s man is an optional one. It covers the reverse map of Turbulence and also follows the storyline of it.

Call of Duty: MW3 - Special Ops: Hostage Taker 

In the beginning, you are provided with a suppressed pistol and a tactical knife. You can change your weapon with others dropped by the enemies, but sticking with yours is the best option as stealth is most important. Also aware of the enemy chopper patrolling the area, and avoid the spotlight, you can destroy it. And if you destroy the spotlight of the chopper, it will drop some troops and fly away. Another thing is if you get detected enemies will kill the hostages instantly.

The mission starts with the voice of Makarov saying, “Every man has his weakness. Find the girl.” FSO agent then opens his eyes and finds himself lying on the ground, he sees Makarov’s chopper taking off. Another agent reported that Makarov captured the President and the hostiles are trying to find his daughter.

Regaining his strength the agent starts to eliminate the Russian hostiles in that area. You will find the first hostage on the way to the first marked location. Two hostiles will be there, first kill the one, who is pointing the gun then the other. After that free the hostage.

Mover for the next yard, kill two men just you pass the gate. Once you reach the corner you will spot the second hostage near an armored vehicle on your left. Two hostile will be there, one behind the block, one over the hostage take them down, and free the agent. You will two more near another vehicle as you move forward. Kill them and reach for the second-way point.

Once you reach there you will spot seven enemies in a scattered position. Killing them when you push through, you will spot two more enemies neat a large tree stump, and eliminate them. Once you reach the stump you will identify Alena’s location. Jumping over the stump once you reach the other side, you will spot the third one near the wreckage, and eliminate the hostiles to free him.

Reaching Alena's location you will find two of Makarov's men, one is holding Alena as a human shield and the other is aiming at you. It will take you in a slow-motion fight. Kill the second one first to avoid getting hit. Aim for the right hand of the captor and once he is off balance take him down. The mission ends with the elimination of the hostage taker.

You can play all the Special Ops missions in 3 difficulty. Playing the mission in Regular difficulty will give you a star, in Hardened you will get 2 stars and if you play in Veteran difficulty you will get 3 stars.
