Resident Evil 6 - Episode: Attack on Tatchi

“Attack on Tatchi” is the fourteenth part of Leon's campaign and the second part (Episode) of the fourth chapter. This content covers two parts of chapter four, known as “Medical Research Center” and “Train”.

Walkthrough:

Exiting the market Leon and Helena notice Ada entering a building. They decide to move after her. They enter the building. Leon calls her as she is about to pass a door. Ada turns while opening the door but she escapes as the other starts shooting her. Leon and Helena start to track Ada. They take another door downstairs to follow Ada. They move in and see an elevator's arrival, the two then run for the elevator.

During the run Leon overhears some conversation about ignoring them and tracking Ada, he also sees Ada on the upper platform. Seems that Ada is controlling the building and trying to stop them. Ada activated a leaser trap but the two managed to get on the elevator. They reach the upper floor with the elevator. As the lobby is trapped with leaser Leon decides to take the stairs to reach Ada. Through there they reach a room. The room was divided with some preservation tubes and a glass wall. Leon spots two on the other side.

He reaches another door of that room and sees that the door is locked. Then he spots Ada in the control room, where she uses the control panel to release some prototype robot with explosives. Helena asks what is she doing, Leon says they will get answers when they catch her. Hunnigan then radioed them and said that she was trying to bypass the security to open the door. She mentions that the security is very tight to break in but she is trying. She also asks them to keep looking if they can find a way to bypass the security manually.

Helena then tries to bypass the security with a panel in the room while Leon is taking care of the robots. In the meantime, the two in the other room doing the same. The security system keeps alerting about the security breaches in both rooms. Just the time the door lock disengaged Ada escaped. The two in the other room went after Ada. Leon assumes that Ada is not working alone, and they do not want Ada to be captured. Just the time they reach the door the lock engages again and some robot arrives. As the lock disengages for the second time the door opens.

Passing the door they reach a ventilation window. Through there they exit the room and reach the scaffolding. There he asks Ada to stop but she refuses. As Leon reaches Ada she uses a smoke and with a grappling gun, she swings on the other side. Leon heard one of the two telling another not to lose her while chasing Ada. Leon jumps down.

In a short cutscene, the two run toward Ada and stop her from both sides of the scaffolding. Ada seems confused for a second. But Leon interrupts one of them and engages in a fight with him. During the fight, they point their gun at each other. Seems they know each other. Chris Redfield asks Leon why is he there. Helena arrives at the spot. Leon asks to put his gun down and says that Ada is the key witness so they want her alive. Chris says that she is not the witness but she is the one who did all these. Chris also says that Ada is working for Neo-Umbrella. Ada takes advantage and through a flash grenade escapes using her grappling gun during the argument.

Piers (a BSAA agent and partner of Chris) shoots at her and fun after her. When Helena tries to run after Piers, Leon stops her. As Chris advances Leon stops him and says they both want the same thing. Then Chris says that BSAA will take care of Ada and he asks them to take care of Simmons. When Chris leaves, Helena asks about his trustworthiness. Leon says he and Chris have gone through the same thing and he trusts Chris.

Hunnigan radios them to inform Simmons's location according to Sherry’s information. And ask them to be careful. As they reach the exit door Helena asks Leon if their decision is correct not to follow Ada. Leon says to focus on Simmons they will go for Ada after that. Through a narrow lane, they reach the building's main door.

Entering that building Helena spots Simmons. Simmons surprises and as he orders his man to finish them off, Sherry and Jake enter. Sherry stops Simmons, and Simmons asks her to take them into custody. Sherry then asks Simmons about his involvement in this attack. Simmons accepts it and says that he did this for the better good of the country. Leon asks how killing the President is good for the country. Sherry then asks that the President is dead, and Simmons puts the blame on Leon. And order his man to kill them all.

They take care of some containers. Simmons stops his man and tells them not to kill Sherry and Jake. As Leon asks Sherry to be more careful, Jack stops him and asks about his plan. Leon asks Jack and Sherry to reach a door on the ground, Jack says why don’t they engage and kill all the enemies. Leon then orders him to take care of Sherry. Sherry then gives Leon the information that could stop the C-Virus that Simmons wanted.

Leon and Helena start shooting at Simmons man to make a safe passage for Sherry and Jack. Watching them escape Simmons asks one of his men to alert the other outside. And when Simmons is about to leave someone shoots at him. Simmons man kill him. Seems that the shoot injected the virus into him. He then left the place.

Seeing him leaving Leon and Helena run after him. Simmons falls on the train, seems that the virus started to infect him. Leon and Helena jump on the train to follow him. The two move through the cabins to reach him while Simmons moves on the roof of the train. They find an opening in a compartment and reach the roof through it.

In a cutscene, Ada calls Derek Simmons and says that she gave him the same thing he gave her. And she also says that he will become the monster he always was. Leon and Helena reach him and ask him to give up. Simmons then says that Ada is responsible for all this. Leon says that others are after her. He then asks the two that is it about revenge for the President. And also tells them that if the President disclosed the truth of the Raccoon City incident. The U.S. lost its controlling power over the world and some chaos happened all over the world. Helena then blames him for creating a disaster to avoid the possible one. And also blame him for killing thousands of innocents. Simmons says that he did this to stop the president and also to stop the possible conflict between the world and the United States. He then turned into a beast as the virus reached its final stage.

Leon and Helena engaged in a fight to defeat mutated Simmons. After some fight, he turns back into Simmons. Leon and Helena manage to get down to the compartment. Now Simmons starts chasing them. Leon and Helena engage it again. It moves on the roof again. The two follow him up again. After fighting some time Simmons falls and acts like dead. As Leon reached at him to check, he grabbed and threw him on the other train. Simmons then turns into a bigger monster and jumps after Leon. The trains move out of the tunnel and a chopper starts to follow them, it seems that the chopper came for Simmons. As Simmons starts chasing him, Leon starts to run to escape. He moves up on the roof and jumps the other train. Leon manages to grab and Helena helps him to climb up. Simmons tries to reach him but falls breaking the compartment wall.

Simmons then starts chasing the train and attacking the two. Leon and Helena engage him from the compartment. Seems that Simmons can create several weapons with his power. Leon and Helena manage to destroy it. Simmons then starts to break the compartment down. The two manage to get on the roof as Simmons gets in and tries to reach them.

Simmons continues his chase and destroys a train moving toward him. Then he blocks the path of the train Leon and Helena are on. As he starts running toward the train Leon shoots him and he loses his balance and hits on the train. He falls on the roof turning into his human form. He turns in the monster saying that they do not know the consequences of killing him. Leon says that if he dies the world will be a better place. Simmons then breaks a part of the train and throws it at them. Leon shoots at the part to avoid getting hit by it and Helena takes the shot to kill Simmons. The shot hit on Simmons's head. Seeing that the chopper flies away leaving Simmons behind. Simmons falls from the train and the train crushes him under it. Leon and Helena jump on the river as the train loses its track.

Many helicopters arrived at the accident spot. Leon and Helena reach a docking point and overhear that the Echo Team is escorting the civilians in Tatchi to safety. The two locked at the bridge. Helena asks did they accomplished. Leon answers that they did what they could. They climb up the stairs and see that many moving to leave Tatchi. The two thought it was over.

Hunnigan then radios and informs them that Sherry and Jack have been abducted to an undersea oilfield 80 miles away from them. Helena says that it is because of the file she gave them. They opened it and saw that Jack could stop the virus. Leon then asks Hunnigan if she can spot any BSAA unit near there. Helena spots something heading toward the city while Hunnigan connects Leon to Chris. Just the time he connects, Chris asks Leon’s location. Leon answers that he is in Tatchi. Chris then asks him to leave that place immediately.

The cutscene then shows the missile entering the city air space and being destroyed releasing the virus. It infected all the civilians outside. Those who were inside were safe until the infected attacked them. The city turned into a hell within a moment.
