Call of Duty: MW3 - Mission: Fatal Extraction (Special Ops) - Overview

“Fatal Extraction” is the seventh mission of Special Ops Mission Mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The mission takes place in Sierra Leone. It covers the partial map of "Back on the Grid". A reverse map from the church building to the tower (Yuri took position to provide overwatch). The objective of the mission is to intercept enemy Intel to locate and eliminate a high-value target.

In the beginning, Overlord describes the mission objectives, he also informs that you have to intercept all the paper communications as the hostiles have gone low. Staying inside the church kill the enemies on the rooftop of the next building, two more will appear on the balcony. Once you eliminate them one or two hyenas try to reach you, kill them quickly.

Be careful with your move, because enemy Sentry Guns are placed in several spots on the map. Some you can find easily, but some might not be easy to spot.

Exit the church, and move into the courtyard, a Sentry Gun is placed on the alley on your left, take the lane on your right. From here it will be easy to spot and eliminate your enemies. Enemies will drop the Intel once you kill them. More hyenas will arrive. You will spot a Sentry Gun, and destroy it. Move to the gun, more enemies will arrive on the balcony of the opposite building. Kill them, you will spot another Sentry Gun, destroy it.

Don’t rush for the Intel now. Go to the churchyard, and destroy the sentry on the left alley I mentioned before, if you did not do it earlier. Now it is safe to collect the Intel. You will find three Intel in this area. Once you collect all of them Overlord orders you to move to a nearby safe house for the remaining Intel.

Careful when you move through the destroyed house, three hostile will come from the opposite side. The easy way to take them down is, once you reach the door toss a stun grenade before you engage.

There is a sentry on the street behind the fence, look for it on your left side just as you exit the house. Push forward eliminating all the enemies. Just move through the building on the right side to avoid to avoid the sentry gun. Look for a one-storied tin shed house on the left side of the street, on its roof you will find the sentry gun.

Exit the building and move to the targeted location. There is a car at the edge of the road, you will spot a fence there, and another sentry gun is placed behind that. Kill the remaining hostiles and collect the remaining Intel. Once you collect all 5 Intel, Overlord orders you to move to an elevated location and wait there for the next order. The last sentry gun you will find in the building next to safe houses is placed on a tin shed extended on the road. Once you move forward two more hyenas will run toward you. Killing them reach for the large sewer pipe. When you reach halfway a hostile will engage you from the exit point. Killing him to reach the tower.

Hold your position until Overlord orders you to mark the target for the airstrike. The mission ends with a successful airstrike.

You can play all the Special Ops missions in 3 difficulty. Playing the mission in Regular difficulty will give you a star, in Hardened you will get 2 stars and if you play in Veteran difficulty you will get 3 stars.
