Resident Evil 6 - Episode: Catacombs - Overview
Catacombs is the
eleventh part of Leon's campaign and the first part (Episode) of the third
chapter. This content covers two part of the game, known as “Altar Corridor”
and “Catacombs”.
Walkthrough:
The episode starts with
a cutscene, where Simmons blames the attack on Leon and Helena. He tells them
that he suspects that they are involved in the attack of C-virus. He also tells
them that they are responsible for the President's death. Helena south at
Simmons saying he is planning all this. Simmons asks for evidence and says that
if Leon and Helena are innocent then they can turn in. Simmons then
disconnects. Helena seems angry and Leon is worried.
The two then reach a
door and open it pulling the leavers. Passing the door they start moving
through the corridor. They fight several zombies, pass through a defense
system, and reach another fire defense system. Leon spots a broken ladder on
his right. He then helps Helena to get to the upper floor so she can find
another way. Helena shuts off the defense system.
Once the fire is gone
Leon advances and reaches a door. He tries to open it by force but fails. He
found some writing on the door that says some proof of relationship. Helena
says that they need something belonging to Simmons to open the door. Leon
remembers that Ada gave him a ring belonging to Simmons. He then used it on the
door to open it. The door is opening but the sound lures the zombies in its
direction. Leon uses the defense system to kill them while Helena engages the
rest. When the process is complete the two reach the door and open it.
Through the gate, they
enter a watery tunnel. As Leon reaches the waterfall, he spots something
mysterious in the water. They then move through another tunnel and reach a
door. Leon helps Helena to reach the high road so that she can reach the crank
and open the door. While Helena is moving toward the crank, Leon spots
something in the water. A zombie attacked him and he managed to kill it. Helena
reached the crank and opened the door. Just the time Leon moves in a zombie
pulls Helena under water. As the mysterious creature attacked the zombie it
released Helena.
Helena survived but
they got separated. Leon then provides cover fire while Helena tries to open a
gate on Leon’s side using a crank. Leon then opens another gate for Helena.
Leon passes through a defense system but is stuck near another. Helena says
that there must be a way to stop the defense system and she also mentions that
the systems are activated by cranks.
Leon then spots a
zombie using a crank. As he killed it the defense system near him stopped. He
then reached a door and found that the crank was missing. He informs Helena. As
he is about to start the search many zombies arrive. He engages them and Helena
provides backup. Once all the zombies are eliminated, Leon collects an old
crank dropped by a zombie. He then fixed the crank and opened the door other
side. Helena reaches the final crank to open the last door.
The two then reach another
gate and pull the leavers. It opens a secret door below them. The episode ends
as they fall through the opening.
