Call of Duty: MW3 - Mission: Stronghold

"Stronghold" is the first mission of Act 3 and the fifteenth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The main objective of the mission is to infiltrate the castle to learn the location of Vladimir Makarov. Playing as Yuri helps Price to infiltrate the castle. The mission story takes place in Prague, Czech Republic.

At the beginning of the mission, Price contacts MacMillan with Sorrowful Heart informing Soap's death. Baseplate then asks what he needs. Price demands information about a castle, Makarov might be in that location. MacMillan describes the castle's infrastructure, as they ran drones over it in the early days. Mentioning it a fortress MacMillan tells there is only one way in and out. There is a security office and a command center. He also states that if Makarov is there, he will be at the command center.

Yuri and Price land up a hill near the castle using the parachute. But before landing on the ground, Price eliminates two guards with his pistol. They move forward and eliminate the other two on their way. After that, they hide behind a wall, and Price orders Yuri to follow his steps and do exactly what he does. They then drop down into the fortress courtyard. As the ground is heavily guarded they move forward using the vehicles as cover. Price tells Yuri only to engage the enemy if he can make a confirmed kill. Then Price crawls under the vehicles and plants a C4 to cover their escape. Following him as Yuri moves out the other side, Price asks to take out the guard in front without getting spotted. Price then hides the body.

Price and Yuri run toward the platform avoiding the spotlight. They start Crawling under that, once they are halfway, Yuri plants a C4 as Price asks. Price stops Yuri at the end of the platform noticing a guard over them. Once the guard leaves, they move out and run toward the security office. Price knocks on the door, telling him he can handle this. Once it is unlocked, thrusting the door Price gets in and kills the enemies inside. Here price identifies the locations of security cameras. Price opens a biometric lock door using, using a dead's fingerprints. They appear in a prison area through the door as they move down the stairs. Price takes out the lights to confuse the guards and using night vision the two start to clear the area. The guards throw flares to spot them and it forces them to take off their night vision glasses.

After clearing the area they move out and reach a bridge there. Using a ladder they climb up on the scaffolding attached to that bridge, Price asks Yuri to place a C4 on the column. Through there they reach a corridor. Price decides to breach a wall, so they don’t have to shoot their way in. They timed the blast with the sound of thunder to avoid consequences. Through there the two climbs up and find a small opening on the wall. Through the opening, they see President Vorshevsky on a monitor screen. It discloses that the President is being interrogated for the nuclear launch codes by Makarov himself. By then a guard informs Alexi that they are not getting any replies from the security room. Alexi sent the guard to the security room. The conversation between Alexi and Makarov reveals that they sent their men to Berlin to capture the President's daughter.

As the guard alerts the base, Price throws a grenade into the command center through the opening to buy them some time. Price and Yuri then slide down and land in a kitchen. Clearing the hostiles in there, Price contacts Nikolai and discusses the daughter's situation. They keep pushing forward killing the enemies on their way until they reach the courtyard. Clearing the courtyard area they advance toward the bridge through the office building. Yuri detonates the C4 on the bridge to kill the ground force and the BTR placed on it, as they reach near there. They then jump down on the bridge and run towards another courtyard. Once they reach there they find another BTR blocking their way out. Stealing a jeep they manage to drive out of the castle, but encounter more BTRs on the road. Price then intentionally hit the jeep onto the fence, sending it off the cliff. The two then jump out of the car and use their parachutes and land near the river. Price then radios Nikolai for an exfil.

There are 2 Intel you will find in the mission “Stronghold”.

The first Intel of the mission you will find in a small room in the left corner of the building you get in just after encountering the flashbang.

You will find the second one on the second floor of the office building just before you reach the bridge. This is the last of the mission and second of Act 3 and the thirty-sixth Intel of the campaign.
