Call of Duty: MW3 - Mission: Over Reactor (Special Ops) - Overview
“Over Reactor” is the
third mission of Special Ops Mission Mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
The objective of the mission is to stop the Russian submarine from having a
nuclear meltdown. The mission takes place at New York Harbor.

The mission starts with
the player on board in a Delta bird and Overlord describing the objective. The
bird then drops the soldier (call sign – Trident-1). Once landing on the sub
you will encounter two enemies from the smoke, try to kill them inside the
smoke.
**Thermal vision is
useful to identify your target in smoke.
The hatch will open as
you disarm the thermite. Once the hatch opens a timer starts counting down from
five-minute (for all difficulty). You have to reach the reactor before the
timer hits zero.
The hatch will lead you
to the control room, through a door you will get in the fuel tank room. There
you have to fight several enemies (numbers depend on difficulty). You must kill
them all so that they cannot attack from behind. Then you move to the next
compartment.
**If you are playing
two-player mode. You must be separated from the fuel tank room. One should go
through the upper floor and another should take the lower.
**I prefer not to use
the thermal vision inside the sub.
Clearing the area you
will reach a stair that leads you to the reactor room. You have to use the
valve to shut down the reactor. In two-player mode, one should keep watch out
in the hallway, while the other shuts down the reactor. Once it is done run for
the exit through the bunkroom and climb up on the surface. You have to kill
several on your way up.
A Russian bird will
arrive to drop troops, once you are there. Eliminate that group, and move
toward the extraction point. You will encounter more inside the smoke, so use
the thermal goggles to spot them. At the extraction point, another bird arrives
to drop troops. Eliminating them you have to hold your position until the
chopper arrives. The mission ends with the arrival of the chopper.
You can play all the
Special Ops missions in 3 difficulty. Playing the mission in Regular difficulty
will give you a star, in Hardened you will get 2 stars and if you play in
Veteran difficulty you will get 3 stars.
No time limit to complete
this mission, but only you have to the reactor within five minutes.
